past due...

So nothing too big or exciting has happened since I last wrote. However, Monty no longer has mites- those little buggers aren't fun to freakin get rid of. I spent countless hours getting rid of them, and am relieved they are finally gone. He also ate tonight, so that was pretty cool! I've been super busy with our production coming up next month, and have had numerous meetings and hours of paperwork that I've already done. And it's nowhere near over! I'm actually quite enjoying it though. I'm really looking forward to spring break! I am really needing a week break from the craziness. And no to mention the fact that I'm going to the caribbean doesn't really suck :) my friend Austin is living down there right now, so I'm gonna go stay with him for a week and we will cause all sorts of trouble. LOL. We plan on going kiteboarding, going to the British virgin islands... stuff of that sort. It will be quite the experience.

Just so you know... my snake is staring at me at the moment as if he wants to eat me next. It's quite hilarious. He stares at me quite often when I'm laying on my bed, sometimes he does this weird thing when he moves his head from side to side while staring at me. He's a weird little dude.

Well that's really all that is happening as of right now... just been enjoying the beautiful 80 degree weather lately, and loving this spring time! We are heading out to Cocoa on Saturday, so that will be a good time as always. PEACE!

Lame

So I just found out today that Monty has Mites. And that really sucks.... I hear they are a pain in the butt to get rid of. So pretty much my much needed day off tomorrow will consist of getting rid of mites. Gotta love it!

Cheers to 2 months of craziness!

So yesterday we found out our positions for our 16mm shoot coming up next month. We had to apply for these positions and then the teachers picked from the portfolios who they thought would best fit the job. I applied for First Assistant Director as my first choice- sound mixer as second- and boom operator as third. But ultimately I wanted First Assistant Director and I just applied for the other 2 because they made us apply for 3 jobs. It was a lot of working getting the portfolios together, and my position required lots and lots of paperwork. But it paid off, and I was chosen as the 1st AD. I was pretty happy about that, even though it wasn't the script I wanted to work out. They split our class up and half of us work on one script and the other half works on another. They put me on the script I didn't really want, but that's alright. Gotta make the best of it! So now I'm going to be super busy in the next couple of months. I have lots of work before and during the shoot to do. The main part of my job consists of scheduling out the three 12 hour shooting days, making sure the rest of the crew are getting their stuff ready before the shoot, and a bunch of another paperwork. On the shoot I'm in charge of the crew and making sure everything is running smoothly because the director is supposed to only concentrate on the talent so I have to be in charge of everything else. So hopefully everything goes well, I'm pretty excited! That's all for now!
